In the rice growth period needs to undergo selection, seed soaking and germination, sowing,seedling, seedling transportation, planting, field management (including irrigation, fertilization,pesticide) and other complex management process. Each link affected the quality and output ofthe rice. This paper for rice in cold area of northeast area growing environmental needs, todevelop a general platform for intelligent remote monitoring system, which changed thetraditional rice cultivation management process of the extensive management mode, providedconvenient and quick way of management for the farmers, saved the cost and time and improvedthe efficiency of farmers.The four systems, rice seeding, irrigation, irrigation water and field growing environmentalmonitoring, have been built on the basis of hardware platform through general platformapplication sensor technology, I2C bus interface technology, GSM technology and SCMmeasurement and control management. The remote intelligent management of rice production incold region was realized by SMS short message. First, through the analysis of the needs of thesystem, the functional design is completed. Secondly, modular design is in process to realize thegeneral platform functions, according to the functional requirements of the system function tothe production environment monitoring and equipment control. This platform uses STC89C52MCU as the control core to realize the handling of sensor acquisition data and the performanceof short message command of remote terminal. Siemens TC35i as communication module, theremote monitoring of the production site is realized through receiving, analyzing, compiling andsending SMS instruction. I2C bus receives temperature and humidity sensor data, controlsmodule relay driver circuit to get equipment switch signals and realization of the control andstatus of peripheral equipment (roller shutter, micro spray and water pump, etc). Users can gatherat any time and time to see the real time data of rice growing environment and control the relatedequipment on the rice production field. After the system test, the platform has high stability andpracticability, and can be used in the process of rice production management.
