According to saline area wide, shortage of landscaping plants, plant salt tolerance evaluation methods varied, evaluation options exist randomness, the matching tree species with site can not be achieved when the plant disposite, using the method of field survey,collate and evaluate Northwest of garden plants green status quo. At the same time,selected the 10 kinds of plant material commonly used or wanted to promote in the Northwestern, that was treated with different concentrations of Na Cl in the greenhouse,study of changes in their morphological and physiological in post-processing. Then subjection function was used to assess their salt tolerance., and principal component analysis were adopted to evaluate the major role playing. Aiming to provide the scientific basis to select the landscape plants in the Northwestern, indirectly promote the development of urban economy, tourism, eco-garden city construction. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) Northwest region gradually formed an effective alkali soil improvement measures in the social practice and achieved outstanding results. Most soil salinity with garden controls under 0.3%, p H value is below of 8.0.(2) In the Northwestern, there are 165 species of main garden trees belonging to 48 families and 103 genera. Among them, the trees, shrubs, vines, respectively accounted for57%, 34% and 7% of the total number of garden trees. The main flower is 41 species belonging to 24 families and 36 genera. Among them, there are 13 kinds of biennial flowers, 5 kinds of bulbs flowers, 10 kinds of perennial flowers, 13 kinds of aquatic flowers. Turfgrass have tall fescue Radix, bluegrass, bermudagrass, etc. Overall, the lawn is less, the kinds of planting form is single. In the main garden trees in the Northwest region, the degree of salt tolerance of plant distribution range is wide, there are 27 kinds of special salt tolerance of plants, accounting for 16.4% of statistics; 27 kinds of strong salinity plants, accounting for 16.4% of statistics; moderate salinity 61 kinds of plants,accounting for 37.0% of statistics; mild salinity 31 kinds of plants, accounting for 18.8% ofstatistics; no salinity 19 kinds of plants, accounting for 11.5% of statistics. Different levels of saline-alkali land greening provides a wealth of plant resources.(3) Through the salt tolerance indices of each test plant analysis, we found a trend of specific indicators of different plants, the same plant in different tissues or different stages of growth are likely to differ, a single index can not accurately reflect the salt tolerance of plants, and therefore conducting garden plant salt tolerance screening should study various indicators. Through the 20 indicators of 10 kinds of plants were evaluated membership function, it is concluded that plant salt tolerance order: Radix > Iris 、 false faucet >Tradescantia > Hemerocallis, Euonymus > Hokkaido boxwood > Ligustrum > Ginkgo >lobular privet. Euonymus, Hokkaido boxwood and Radix are strong salt resistance.Ligustrum is moderate resistance to salt. Ginkgo and lobular privet are mild salt tolerance.Iris, False faucet and Tradescantia are mild or no resistance to salt, Hemerocallis is not salt-tolerant.(4) The salt tolerance mechanism of each are not identical, different plants have different evaluation index of plant salt resistance. Through principal component analysis,The plant dry weight, cell membrane permeability, chlorophyll content, POD activity, salt injury index, leaf water content, proline content, leaf(aboveground) K+/Na+ ratio, root K+/Na+ ratio, leaf(aboveground) Ca2+ content and roots Ca2+ content can be used as a herb salt resistance evaluation index; The cell membrane permeability, root to shoot ratio, leaf(aboveground) K+ content, root K+ content in leaves(shoot) K+/Na+ratio root K+/Na+ ratio,blade(aboveground) Mg2+ content and roots Mg2+ content can be used as salt tolerance evaluation index of woody plants. A plant of the membership functions of salt tolerance sorting using the above indicators, the order is: Radix > False faucet > Iris > Tradescantia> Hemerocallis, Hokkaido boxwood > Euonymus > Ligustrum > Ginkgo > Lobular privet.The main components of the plant salt tolerance evaluation and utilization of 20 indicators of evaluation results are similar, so screening index are relatively reasonable.
