This paper is to study how to develop an intelligent simulation system of wheat-corn continuous cropping, which is a part of 揜esearch on Intelligent Simulation of Wheat-Corn Continuous Cropping System? and supported by National 863 project of China. Based on the consideration of the effects of environment on crops ,the intelligent crop management system is established. Its Internet or web applications are also developed and implemented. The analysis and design of the wheat-corn continuous cropping system are described. This paper emphasizes on the implementation of the system and the solving scheme on the web. In the mode of continuous cropping, there are problems of resources share and data exchange. Because single crop model is the base of continuous cropping model, the continuous cropping simulator can be constructed by means of the way: first applying the technology of object-oriented to the complete encapsulation of wheat and corn model , then passing messages and data between the crop objects. The implementation of simulation visualization includes designing some classes according to crop morphologic characters such as root class, stem class and leaf class, which encapsulates the visual implementation respectively ,then combining these parts to visualize the crop growth. Simulation visualization makes the interface colorful ,and makes the use convenient. Intelligent forecast and decision are important components. Intelligent forecast is implemented by applying the technologies of fuzzy logic, genetic algorithms and artificial neural networks. Intelligent decision refers to the optimization of planting scheme ,for example, the selection of crop variety, planting date and sowing depth reasonably. The system recommends a optional planting plan to user by simulating possible plans according to different simulation goals. The key of implementation of continuous cropping simulating on the web is mainly remote calling technology of crop model . Users can use the model on the Internet conveniently and simulate crop-environment system according to their requests and get real time simulated results. Theweb applications are developed by adopting CGI to the crop simulator onthe Internet,by adoPting ASP and ADO to the inPu and output module ofthe system, by adopting ActiveX controls to the simulation visualizationmodule on the lntemet.Crop simulation aPplications are tend to integr8te technologies suchas object-oriented, crop simulation, artificial intelligence, and networkcomputing etc. This paper contributes a prototyPe of integrating thesetechnologies.
