Studies On The Deposition Of Pigment And Optimal Vitamin A And Vitamin E Supplementation During Fattening For Yellow Broilers

Two experiments were included in this study: In the first experiment, three hundred and eighty 1-day-old male yellow broilers and two hundred 1-day-old male Arbor Acres broilers were selected, yellow broilers were randomly divided into I, II, V, VI dietary treatments, Arbor Acres broilers were randomly divided into III, IV dietary treatments, pigment were added in the II, IV, V, VI dietary treatments with the 40 microgram per kilogram level of Xanthophyll(10%)and the 10 microgram per kilogram level of Apocarotenoic acid ethyl ester(10%)to determine the effects of different time of feeding in the diets on the performance of broilers. The data of average daily gain(ADG), average daily feed intake(ADFI), and feed conversion rate(F/G) were analyzed. Blood sample were collected to determine the amount of TBARS of plasms and the levels of (Cu,Zn) Superoxide dismutase enzyme (SOD) activity of red cells and the skin colour of broilers were determine. The result were showed that: (1) There were no difference in ADG, ADFI and F/G of the treatments added with different times of dietary supplemental pigment for the yellow broilers or Arbor Acres broilers. (2) Between the yellow broilers and Arbor Acres broilers, there were significantly difference in the deposition of pigment in the skin. Adding the pigment was relatively economical and efficient during the latter period. (3) The kind of pigment decreased the lipid oxidation level(LPO) of plasma and increased the activity of (Cu,Zn) Superoxide dismutase enzyme(SOD) of red cells. In the second experiment, nine hundred sixty 56-day-old yellow broilers were selected and randomly divided into 16 dietary treatments with 3 replicates and 20 per replicate to determine the effects of different levels of Vitamin A, E supplemented in the diets on the performance of broilers. Diet were formulated to contain four graded levels of supplemental Vitamin A ( 0,5000,10000,20000 IU/kg ) and four graded levels of supplemental Vitamin E ( 0,30,60,120 IU/kg )by a 4×4 factorial design. The result were showed that:(1) At the end of 70 ,90 day, there was no difference in body weight among treatments added with different levels of vitamin A,E and the interaction of vitamin A, E(p >0.05). Vitamin A, E significantly affected ADG during 56—70 days(p < 0.05),while the interaction of vitamin A, E hadn't significantly affected(p>0.05).During 56—70 days the different levels of vitamin A significantly affected ADFI(p <0.05),while the different levels of vitamin E and the interaction of vitamin A, E hadn't significantly affected(p >0.05). At the end of 90 day, the different levels of vitamin A, E and the interaction of vitamin A, E had significantly affected on ADG and F/G(p <0.05). (2) At the end of 70 day, the different levels of vitamin A and the interaction of vitamin A, E hadn't significantly affected(p >0.05)on the amount of TBARS of serum,while vitamin E had significantly affected(p <0.05). At the end of 90 day, the different levels of vitamin A, E and the interaction of vitamin A, E had significantly affected in serum on the amount of TBARS of serum(p <0.05);At the end of 70, 90 day, the different levels of vitamin A and the interaction of vitamin A, E hadn't significantly affected(p >0.05)on the the amount of TBARS of muscule(p >0.05), while the different levels of vitamin E had significantly affected(p < 0.05);with improving Vitamin E supplemental levels, the amount of TBARS was decreased. (3) At the end of 70, 90 day, the different levels of vitamin A, E and the interaction of vitamin A, E had significantly affected on the amount of vitamin A in serum(p <0.01);At the end of 70 day, the different levels of vitamin E had significantly affected the amount of vitamin E in serum(p <0.01), while the different levels of vitamin A was near to significantly affected(p = 0.05). The different levels of vitamin A, E and the interaction of vitamin A, E had significantly affected the amount of vitamin E in serum(p <0.01)for 90-day broilers.(4)At t...
