Effects Of Emulsifier And Lipase Supplementation On Growth Performance And Nutrient Digestibility In Broiler Fed With Sorghum-Soybean Meal Based Diets

The purpose of this research is to study the effects of emulsifier and lipase supplementation and different dietary apparent metabolic energy(AME)on performance in yellow-feathered broiler fed with sorghum-soybean meal based diets.Performance of growth and slaughter,meat quality,intestinal development and apparent digestibility of Chinese local yellow-feathered broiler named “LiangFenghua” was researched through two different experiment.Experiment 1:the whole trail was divided to two stage:the early stage(day1-day28)and the later stage(day29-day56).1080 1-day-old LiangFenghua chicken were randomly allocated to 6 group,each group fed with different ratio based on same basal diet.They are Group1,sorghum-soybean meal.Group2,sorghum-soybean meal with lower AME.Group3,sorghum-soybean meal with lower AME and emulsifier.Group4,sorghum-soybean meal with lower AME and lipase.Group5,sorghum-soybean meal with lower AME and emulsifier and lipase.Group6,the control group fed with basal diet.During the early stage,sorghum was used to replace 30% corn in the basal diet.During the later stage,the replace rate was up to 50%.The AME was lowered by 0.125MJ/kg in the lower AME.The addition of emulsifier was 0.03%,lipase was 0.01%.Experiment 2:Digestion trial was carried out by method of collection full excrements analysis method.24 56-day-old LiangFenghua chicken with similar body weight were randomly allocated to 6 group,each group fed with different ratio based on same basal diet.The chicken were feed separately.The whole experiment with pre-trial period was 7 days,including a formal period of 2 days.They are Group1,sorghum-soybean meal.Group2,sorghum-soybean meal with lower AME.Group3,sorghum-soybean meal with lower AME and emulsifier.Group4,sorghum-soybean meal with lower AME and lipase.Group5,sorghum-soybean meal with lower AME and emulsifier and lipase.Group6,the control group fed with basal diet.During the early stage,sorghum was used to replace 30% corn in the basal diet.During the later stage,the replace rate was up to 50%.The AME was lowered by 0.125MJ/kg in the lower AME.The addition of emulsifier was 0.03%,lipase was 0.01%.The main conclusions of experiment are as follows: 1.The feed intake and CA in muscle of Liangfenghua chicken was decreased significantly.Feed convert ratio,final body weight,cooking quality of breast meat was improved significantly by sorghum-soybean meal(P<0.05).There were no significant difference on other indicators with sorghum-soybean meal(P>0.05),which means sorghum could substitute corn partly on these indicators.2.Sorghum-soybean meal with lower AME had negative effect on growth performance and meat quality of Liangfenghua chicken,lower AME treatment was no recommended for Liangfenghua chicken feed with sorghum-soybean meal.3.Emulsifier and lipase are mild additive for Liangfenghua chicken,no significant intestinal damage was observed through the whole experiment(P>0.05).Significant increase were showed separately in body weight of later period by emulsifier and lipase(P<0.05).Emulsifier combined with lipase improved early period feed intake significantly(P<0.05),reduced the negative effect of lower AME on feed convert ratio,final body weight,carcass trait.
