The adaptability under the natural temperature in Yanbian region and the fertility alteration under the condition of artificial temperature treatments have been studied on Photo-thermo sensitive genie male sterile rice lines. The result showed that:1. Plant height,leafage and so on agronomic characteristics and growing tendencies of nine kinds of PTGMS rice lines are like Ji yugeng(ck). Nine kinds of PTGMS rice lines are adapting to climate of Yan bian region.2. Under natural condition,pollen fertility,rate of selfed seed setting and rate of natural seed setting of D14 and D18 (two PTGMS rice lines) are all low,very high sterility are exhibited. Low fertility of other seven PTGMS rice lines were exhibited .3. Under four kinds of different temperature of 20 21,23 25,pollen fertility and rate of selfed seed setting of Dl 8 and D23 are increased a little,their fertility altered. Fertility alteration critical temperature is from 19.5 to 2TC.4. The sensitive phase of fertility alteration of D18 and D23 occurred from the second branch differentiation phase to pollen mother cell formation.
