Canopy structure, micro-environmental factors and photosynthesis character of three individual type maize colony were be measured and analyzed at different planting mode. The result showed:1 . Micro-environmental characteristic of high yield maize canopy were instituted by planted double line at one width ridge. Photo flux density(PFD) of middle-level in canopy was increased 30-40% more than that of check, whose of under layer was enhanced 15-20% more than that of check. PFD of middly-level and under layer leaves enhanced average 100-160^Em"2s"' . Carbon dioxide concentration of middle and lower layer in maize canopy augmented average 20-40umol/mol, get to 370-380umol/mol .2. Canopy structure of high yield maize were created by planting double line at width ridge. Growth stage change characteristic of leaf area index is "prompted rapidly, duration stage of LAImax is long and descended slowly." LAImax of maize width redge was 0.3-0.5more than that of check . Maize planted width ridge may increase leaf area density, at 120cm- 150cm away from terra ,and does not effect on pass through light .magnified intercepted light ability of middy-level leaves.3. Photosynthesis characteristic of maize were improved by planting double line at one width ridge. Photosynthesis rate did not increase significantly, transpiration rate(Tr) and stomata conductance(Sc) enhanced obviously, which added average respectively 3-5mrnol(H2O)m'V and 0.1-0.3 mol m'V. Correlation coefficient is 0.8938 between PFD to Tr , and correlation coefficient of PFD and Sc is 0.8724.4. Relationship between soluble sugar and soluble albumen, chlorophyll of leaves is positive correlativity ,correlation coefficient is 0.8953 and 0.7390 respectively. Leaf special weight and other index does not connect. Diurnal change and season o f soluble sugar soluble albumen and Chi of maize leaves width ridge showed obvious predominance. Soluble sugar and soluble albumen content were decline with plant density increasing usually planting mode ; however , whose content did not changed with increasing 5000 plant/hm2 by planted double line at one width ridge .rv5. Compare yield of maize planted double line at one width ridge to that of check ,ear length ,No. of ear of kernel ,100-kernel weight and ratio of double ear were increased . Length of bald ear and ratio of no ear stalk were all declined. When maize planted by width ridge erectophile maize should be planting increased by 5000 plant/hm2 at optimum density of check .Mid-type and planophile maize should be planting at optimum density of check. Yield of three plant-type maize planted width ridge increased by 5-8%.
