Field and pot experments were carried out to study the effects of fertilizer on plant growth, development, yield and quality of vegetables (eggplant and lettuce). The results showed:1.The external forms and physiological indexes showed apparent dissimilarityon different fertilizer application in the course of growth and deveploment. The treatments of NPK and NPK+BCF were better than those of N, NP, NK on the plant height, stem, leaves area, chlorophyll, bearing fruit stick, extent of unfolding, the time of blooming and bearing fruit, and plant soma changes of harvest time. The ratio of basal manure to after manuring and the different ratio of after manuring showed mutual effects: The excessive nutrient had unfavorable influences on plant growth and development in former time. The interaction of trace element fertilizer between Mo and Mn were more beneficial to chlorophyll and characters of the whole plant than the single application of Mo or Mn. When applied individually, the effects of Mo were better than that of Mn.2.The different fertilizer treatments affected the individual and total yield of eggplant. As far as the yield of cooperating between different fertilizers, the result was Y11(NPK+BCF)> Y,(NPK)> YIO(NK)> Y9(NP)> Y8(N);Yn and Y3 had no significant dissimilarity, but the two were extremely greater than the others. As far as the yield of different ratioes of after manuring, the result was Y7(2:5)>Y5(5.2)> Y6(3 5.3 5)>Y4(7:0); Y7 had significant dissimilarity with other treatments; Y6 and Y5 had no significant dissimilarity, but the two had significant dissimilarity with Y4. When it comes to the yield of different ratio of basal manure to after manuring, the result was Y3(5:5)>Y6(3.7) > Y2(7.3)> Y1(,0.0), and Y3 were extremely greater than the three others. Different treatments of trace element fertilizer had greater influence on the lettuce plant nutrient growth on the former and middle period; the effects of the interactionbetween trace element fertilizers on the growth of biomass were very notable, and the interaction of the concentration of low Mo and high Mn was the best cooperation.3. The different treatments could ameliorate nutrient qualities. Considering that improving the content of mineral nutrient, trace elements, Vitamin C, the result of the cooperating dressing was NPK+BCF>NPK>NK>NP>K;the result of the after manuring ratio was 5:2,3.5:3.5>2:5>7:0; the result of basal manure/ after manuring was5:5>3:7>7:3>10:0.4. The mutual tendency on nitrate accumulation of different treatments was followed that the amount was very lower in former and final period and very higher in middle period. The high content of nitrate on eggplant would last 20 days.5.The different treatments had different effects on decreasing nitrate content. Considering that the eggplant, the order of nitrate content of cooperating dressing was H(NPK+BCF)<3(NPK)<9(NP)<10(NK)<8(N); the order of nitrate content of after manuring ratio was 7(2:5)^6(3 5.3 5)<5(5.2)<4(7:0); the order of nitrate content of different ratio of basal manure to after manuring was 3(5:j)<6(3:7)<2(7:3)
