The molecular changes of erythrocytic membrane in low selenium cows were studied by the method of deviding into groups. The cows were devided into two groups, including low selenium and normal selenium. The physical characteristics, such as fluidity, viscosity, osmotic fragility and hemolytic test of erythrocytic membrane were measured. The important enzymes were studied, including antioxidant enzymes (glutathione peroxidase GSH-Px, superoxidide dismutase erythrocuprein SOD, catalase CAT) and ionic pumps (Na+.K+-ATPase, Ca2+-ATPase, Mg2+-ATPase). Common antioxidant capacity, MDA and active oxygen were also measured. We observed the protein on membrane by free-etching method. We added different concentration exogenous selenium (C6H12N2O4Se2,Na2SeO3) to the membrane of milch cows deficiency in selenium in this experiment and analyzed the activity of the enzymes. The result are as follows:1 .The blood selenium concentration of milch cow is different because of the differentseason and territory.2.The membrane protein content in the experiment groups is low and some physical characteristics changed also. The result show that viscosity, osmotic fragility and hemolytic increased, while the fluidity decreased. By the free-etching method, the distribution of membrane protein in experiment groups is rare and contagious. 3.The common antioxidant capacity decreased .The content of MDA and active oxygenincreased.4.Some kinds of important antioxidant enzymes were studied, including GSH-Px, SOD and CAT.The activity of experiment groups decreased. The activity of ATPase in experiment groups were decreased also.5.Both organic selenium and inorganic selenium can increase the activity of the enzyme. The diversity are obvious. The effect of organic selenium is better than inorganic selenium.
