The Seaweed liquid manure, as well as named Seaweed extract, Seaweed concentrate, is the organism liquid fertilizer from the large seaweed after broken up cell in special method. Not only abundant nutrient elements but also many alive matters were included in this fertilizer. The effect of the seaweed liquid manure on promoting crop growth, increasing crop yield and improving quality, have caused widespread concern in the domestic and international. A set of new craft on the basis of alkali degradation and enzyme degradation matching the need of cleaning procedure for the seaweed liquid manure had been got after many studies were conducted in Zhejiang university in recent years. Results of field experiment showed that the effect of the Seaweed liquid manure is significant. But few reports about the appling mechanism of seaweed liquid fertilizer had been seen. This has restricted the widespreading of this type fertilizer. For this, the study on the biological effect and mechanism of application to the crop through the pot culture and field experiment. The main results showed that:1. The Seaweed liquid manure used in this experiment all could promote crop germination and the young sprout growth. Under this experimental condition, the most adapting concentration for tomato is dilute 200 times, and the cabbage is dilute 400 times. The mostly embody of the application effect is that the Seaweed liquid manure all could enhance the germination rate, seed activity, which resulted in promoting the seedlings growth and improving the yield and dry matter contents; And the seaweed fertilizer manure could also improve cucumber root activities, total absorb area and activity absorb area, but significant influence on the specific surface area and the proportion that activity absorb area in total absorb area was not seen. That the effect of the seaweed liquid manure on crop seedling periods Root/shootratio and height relates to the employ manner and employ periods; and that the effectof the seaweed liquid manure on promoting seed sprout and young plant growth relates to the cytokinin of the seaweed liquid manure were also seen.2. In the application in various crop in strawberry, asparagus, tea...etc., The Seaweed liquid manure could not only increase production significantly, but also could optimize the agricultural product quality and improve agricultural storage quality. Under the experimental condition, Foliar spray in the strawberry could increase individual fruit weight, prophase yield and total yield, the total yield by 16.7-24.5%. And the candy/acid, Vc contents and SOD activities could be increased. The nourishment component descends through the storage could be alleviated. Foliar spay in the asparagus, the yield could be increased by 16.6%. Tests conducted in Meijiawu village on tea showed that seaweed liquid manure spraying agents could produce much more tender buds compared to the control. The seaweed liquid manure No.1 is better than No.2 in bourgeon, but the effect of the seaweed liquid manure No.2 on increasing the fresh weight, dry weight and dry substance contents was better that No.l.3. Two kinds of Seaweed liquid manure all could promote crop to uptake more nutrition elements like nitrogen, potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, manganese etc. and increase the transfer rate of nutrition element from the root to the culm and leaf. And the effect of the seaweed liquid manure on crop absorption and nourishment element transfer relates to the spray period and times, Contemporary, foliar spray seaweed liquid manure could increase the plant chlorophyl content and photosynthesie velocity.4. Foliar sprays seaweed liquid manure under the Adversity contents, the results of experiment showed that the seaweed liquid manure could improve the fastness of the crop with moisture stress, salinity stress and freeze stress.
