Acantholyda Posticalis Matsumura is significant foliage injurious insect of Pinus tabulaeformis Carr,Pinus cylvestirs Linn and Pinus densiflora Sieb. In order to master its over-wintering larva's cold -hardness mechanism, the paper studies the contents of cold tolerant substance. The major consequence in this experiment as follows:1. Instars identification of over-wintering larvar The width of head capsules those larva moult in different instars and generations are measured, the results show that over-wintering larva are mainly fifth instar, and there are 22.0% fourth and 53.0% fifth as well as 25.0% sixth instar. 2. Over-wintering larva super-cooling point After larva goes into over-wintering age from the early days of over-wintering, the SCP drops unobviously. The average of SCP of fouth instar larva from the early days of over-wintering reduced from -23.3℃ to -26.5 ℃, the fifth instar and sixth instar reduced from -22.0℃ to -25.0℃ and sixth instar larva reduced from -21.6 to -23.1℃. The SCP respectively reduced 3.2℃,3.0℃and 1.5℃. 3. The water content alteration of the over-wintering larva As the result shows, the water content alteration of the larva is not obviously, between 70.5% and 72.0%. The research also shows that the water content of the over-wintering larva's body is relevant with the local precipitation of the present particular period. But it is unobvious to the change of the average temperature.4. The biochemistry substance alteration of the over-wintering larva The alteration of the low-molecule carbohydrate of the larva's body show that the total number of the low-molecule carbohydrate increase from 40.66mg/g to 62.14mg/g., the addition of it is 52.83%. The content of glycogen increased in the early and reduced later. Also the total number of the low-molecule carbohydrate in blood increase from 26.0mg/ml to 79.32mg/ml, increasing about 205.07%. 5. The aviation of content of Amino acid From the early days of over-wintering to the over-wintering age, the aviation of the amino acid content in the over-wintering larva's body changers a lot. The obvious increases of amino acid are ALA and PRO, which increase 28.0% and 10.0% respectively. The obvious increase of amino acid content in blood are GLU,ALA and CYS, which increase 20.0%,95.0% and 80.0% respectively. On the contrary some content of amino acid reduced, such as MET in larva's body, PHE in blood and so on.6. The variation of content of over-wintering larva body's fat and protein The result shows that the content of fat and protein reduce obviously from the early days over-wintering to over-wintering age and respectively reduced 15%,16%. But the content of glycerine goes up urgently and increase 210%. Besides, the result of the layer scanning of protein electrophoresis of blood didn't change and total content of protein goes up. The content of glycoprotein evidently goes up about two times as much as before the over-wintering .7. Cold-tolerant substances system The result show that there are many cold-tolerant substances such as the low molecular carbohydrate ,amino acid ,alanine, glycerine clearly increased. So there is a substance system including: low-molecular carbohydrate—amino acid—glycerine—glycoprotein.
