ABSTRACTNon-antiprobiotics four diets were formulated to contain wheat bran and peanut straw as the source of crude fiber, in which the crude fiber concentration was 7%,9%,12%and 14%.The weanling rabbits fed by CF12% and14%dict were healthy;The others fed another tow diets were diarrhoeic.Microflora in cecum area (sacculus rotundus,cecum and appendix)of the healthy and diarrhoeic weanling rabbits were investigated. The result shows cellulose and hemicellulose concentration in CF12%diets was highest,which was a substrate for cecal microorganisms,its fermention produces the most plenty of volatile fatty acid, which might reduce pH in cecum area and the incidence of microflora disorders.The pH in sacculus rotundus ,cecum and appendix were 6.70,6.40~6.50,6.40~6.50.The order of microflora from much to little in each gram of cecul area contents was Bacteriodes 8.28-8.31, Bifidobacterium 7.53~7.57,Peptococcus 7.41-7.61, Lactobacterirm 7.04-7.37, Escherichia coli 4.22-4.36, Salmoella and Clostridium perfringens were not found in the wealning rabbits fed CF12% diets. It was shown that the anaeroles.such as the Bacteriodes, Bifidobacterirm,Peptococcus,Lactobacterium were absolutely dominant in number. The concentration of cellulose and hemicellulose redeced in another three diets.So, VFA reduced and pH of cecum area increased, which made Escherichia coli and Salmonella existed with an intestinal dyshacteria. The anaeroles, such as Bifidobacteriu,Peptococcus.Lactobacterirm reduced apparently. The diarrhoeic rabbit fed CF7% diet were readjusted by five means. The pH in sacculus rotundus, cecum and appendix of the rabbits readjusted by 12%+l/4 means were 6.50-6.70, 6.40,6.40. The number of anaeroles , such as Bifidobactenu.Peptococcus, Bacteriodes, Lactobacterium, were more than the another four means and the number or aeroles , such as Escherichia coli, reduced apparently. Stepwise analysis showed every' microflora was not obviously different among sacculus rotundus, cecum and appendix ,\vhen the wealning rabbits were fed one of four diets and readjusted by one of five means.
