Disease due to the bacterial pathogen rabbit Clostridium perfringens and Escherichiacoli is the main cause of morbidities and mortalities in rabbit. To control these disease, weisolated the pathogens from rabbit farm and prepared the combined oil- adjuvant inactivitedvaccine. The rabbits were immuned with the vaccine. The results were as follows:The Isolation And Identification of rabbit Clostridium perfringens:Seventeen gram positive bacillus with capsule and spore were isolated from twentyrabbits suffered diarrhea. The isolation could be cultured in an anaerobic condition onsheep blood agar plate formingαandβdouble hemolytic ring. The biochemical, serological and animal infection tests with mouse and rabbit were performed. The isolationcould cause the tested animals death with the same clinical symptoms and pathologicalchanges as natural cases, and the same bacteria could be isolated from tested animals.According to the results of biochemical, serological and animal infection tests, They couldbe identified as Clostridium perfringensThe Isolation And Identification of Escherichia coli:Twenty-seven gram negative strains were isolated from rabbits suffered diarrhea in 6rabbit farms. All of the isolation could be growed on Mac-Conkey agar plate with red clone, and identified as Escherichia coli by biochemical tests. Drug sensitivity test showed that allthe isolation resisted to penicillin and ampicilolin. In all 27 isolation, 21 could be identifiedpathogenic E. coli according to the animal pathogenic test, and belonged to serotypeO26(4.7%), O18(19.1%), O103(28.5%), O109(33.3%), O85(4.7%), and O142(4.7%) by serotypeassay. And the Percentage of O103,O109,O18 was 80.9%.Development of the the combined oil-adjuvant inactivited vaccine:A rabbit Clostridium perfringens and Escherichia coli combined oil-adjuvant inactivitedvaccine was prepared using Cl. perfringgens strain WL4 and E. coli strains S1,Y4,L2. Thesafety, efficacy and storage test showed that the vaccine was safe, high efficiency andstable. The rabbit challenge test showed that the Relative Percentage of Survival (RPS) was91.6% and 83.3% to Clostridium perfringens and Escherichia coli on day 21 aftervaccination respectively. The field trial result showed that the clostridial diarrhea andcolibbasillosis of rabbit could be efficient control after immunized by the vaccine.
