Potato was a kind of crop propagated mainly by vegetative propagation and was infected easily by all kinds of virus. If such potatoes with virus was used as seed potatoes, the quality of potatoes would decline and the yield would also decrease. So it was necessary to use virus-free potato plants to produce virus-free seed potato through stem-tips tissue cultivation.In the past, virus-free potatoes were usually produced in the net house which existed many shortages, such as the re-infections of virus, hard to sterilize substrata, high cost of production and so on. The potato aeroponics technology , which was applied recently to production of virus-free potato, can successfully solve above questions. However, the research on that was still not enough, especially in die aspects of confection of media, selection of varieties, the relationship between 'source', 'current' and 'sink', and how to improve effectively the ability of forming mini-tubers. This article had studied on above aspects and the results showed.1 Selection of suitable varietyThree different types of varieties GAOYUAN NO 7, CIP24 and 1-1035 were adoped in this experiment. The results showed that whatever 'source', 'current' or 'sink' had the significant differences under the condition of aeroponics; and the factor affecting on the organs growth of aeroponics potatoes was mainly the genetics of varieties. As for the capacity of 'sink', the variety of CIP24 was mqst suitable to aeroponics cultivation and could be used as seed potatoes in production. Therefore, in the aeroponics production of mini-tubers, selecting the suitable variety with reasonable plant shapes and .good potato characters was the effective measures of improving the ability of production mini-tubers. According to the results of this experiment, CIP24 was the best variety for aeroponics production of mini-tubers.2 Growth of aeroponics potatoes and selection of mediaThree different series of media, MS, MX and MY were designed in this experiment by adjusting the ratio of NH4+/NO3- and the Mole content of NPK , and at the same time, according to different growth period (prophaseand period of forming mini-tubers), adjusting accordingly the composing and ratio of media. The results showed that there existed a certain effect of different media on all of 'source, current and sink ' of aeroponics potatoes. Considering from 'source', 'current' and 'sink', especially from 'sink', which standed for the ability of forming mini-tubers, the media MX is the most suitable media to improving the ability of forming mini-tubers under the condition of aeroponics. 3ReIationship between 'NPK' and media , and between 'NPK' and 'source, current, sink'3.1 Relationship between 'NPK' and mediaThe results showed that, with the experiment time going on, all of the N%,P% K% of potato plants under different media treatments decreased gradually, but more quickly before May 13 and smoothly and tending to stabilization after May 13; and that there were not obvious difference of the changing of N%, P% , K% under different media treatments.3.2 Relationship between 'NPK' and 'source, current, sink'The results showed that there existed extremely positive significant correlation between the 'N' content of potato plant and its 'source, current', but significant negative correlation between the 'N' content of potato plant and "sink' in the period of forming mini-tubers. Therefore, under the condition of aeroponics, nitrogenous fertilizer should be increased to promote the sufficient growth of 'source, current' in the prophase to ensure 'enough source, smooth current', and nitrogenous fertilizer should be used limitedly in the period of forming mini-tubers in order to make the photosynthesis substances to flow smoothly to the 'sink'to ensure the 'large sink'.The results showed that, in the prophase of growth of potato plant, there existed significant positive correlation between the 'P' content of potato plant and its 'source, current'; and in the period of forming mini-tubers, there existe...
