Siniperca chuatsi(Bailewsky) is mainly distributed in Chang Jiang river basin, Zhu Jiang river basin and Hei Longjiang river basin.lt has become important farmed species in China.In China,the research on fish genetic resource was started in 1980s.In past,many research was done on Siniperca chuatsi.Eut the existing results are still imperfect to meet the establishment of genetic criteria and to put the management on a strong scientific basis.In order to build the production system of Siniperca chuatsi seeds,and to realize the scientific, standardized, serialized and industrialized production of superior seeds,there is an urgent need to understand the genetic characters of Siniperca chuatsi.This study includes ecophysiological characteristics, ageand growth, fecundity, nutrient compenents in the muscle and constants of blood biochemical parameters, genetic diversity ect.We wandt to formulate genetic criteria. We study the growth and fecundity of Siniperca chuatsi and Siniperca kneri.The results show that Siniperca chuatsi grow faster than Siniperca fcneri.There are curve regression relationships between the body weight and standard length.Siniperca chuatsi's fecundity is bigger than that of Siniperca kneri.Siniperca chuatsi attains maturity at two-winter-age and Siniperca kneri at three-winter-age. In addition, the growth equation, the growth speed and growth acceleration equation of body length and body weight are also studies.The nutrient components in the muscle and constants of blood biochemicle parameters in two group of natural and cultivated Siniperca chuatsi were studied. The results show that the protein cintents,the total contents of amino acids and the essential amino acids are rich.In blood biochemical parameters,the values of serum enzyme activities,uric acid,glucose and cholesterol's contants are all obvious .RAPD has been used to analyze DNA polymorphisms in Siniperca chuatsi.The result shows the percentage of polymorphic sites(85.75% in natural population, 16.39% in cultivated population),genetic similarity rate(0.8547,0.9527) and geneticdistance(0.1453,0.0473).The smaller genetic similarity rate(0.6905) and bigger genetic2distance(0.3095) between two populations indicate that there is obvious genetic differentiation,which suggests that aquaculture has generated reduction in genetic diversity.The study materials were collected from the natural waters,the cultivated population were collected from the Nan Hai best seed farm.The study methodology were chosen from those methods with long history, long maturity and high confidence.The study materials are high representative.Sample size is big enough to satisfy the statistical requirement and combination with quantitative and qualitative analysis.In order to gain high reliabilu^ high practibility and high comparability.
