The Studies Of Soil And Water Losses In Some Zones Under Different Prevention And Cure Steps In Zhejiang Province

Zhejiang Province locates at red-earth zone where rainfall volume is abundant and soil and water losses is very severe in some red-earth hilly; The affect were observed and studied that different means of afforestation and tillage of economic forest and vegetation restoration of degenerative bare ground gave to the losses of soil and water in Zhejiang Province, which is to propose a series of scheme to administer the losses of soil and water in Zhejiang Province, the technique of vegetation restoration was also tested in some kinds degenerative bare ground in red-earth zone, the results showed that:1. The losses of soil and water are very different in the two areas for the experiment, which is lighter in sanding red-earth zone than in cohesive red-earth zone.2. The soil and water losses are very light and its difference is not notable in woodland of different tillage mode of economic forest, relatively the soil and water losses is lighter hi protecting slope model than in clearing model in low crown density benching economic forest such as Chinese chestnut, but the soil and water losses is lighter in clearing model than in protecting slope in high crown density benching economic forest such as bayberry.3. The soil and water losses early is very light and its difference is not notable in woodland of different afforesting means of commercial forest, by the data the soil and water losses is lightest in woodland afforested by sloping means than other afforesting means, which need to be studied, but by long-see the seedling will grow best in zonal woodland.4. The result of research about the affect different means of vegetation restoration gave to the losse of soil and waters showed that: at first, the soil and wate losses were very severe in those plots with vegetation restoration at first 2-3 years, which would become lighter and lighter but bareground; the jamming for accelerating surface vegetaton resume generally prick up the losses of soiland water on the earth's, surface at initial stages; the losses of water and soil would become intense by intense jamming which could be offset by vegetation in a degree; the soil and water conservation effectiveness of different vegetation restoration means is" bamboo forest>forest and grass>grass>callow forest>bare ground", which is very important to guide retreating cultivation and restoring forest or grass.5. The research of vegetation restoration on some kinds degenerative bare ground showed that the artifical vegetation restoration is easy for aplenty rainfall volume in Zhejiang Province, but turning the soil is very important to advance the survival rate of vegetation before crop and the use of PAM must be based on the rainfall feature and slope for fear least boomerang effect.
