The masson pine (Pinus Massoniana) is the major material species in our country , and possesses very important position, some researches were studied of clones and its offsprings in clonal seed orchards of masson pine on some traits .following results and conclusions:1. There exist significant differences in height, DBH, stem volume, crown width, straightness, wood density, tracheid length, tracheid width between families in clonal seed orchards of masson pine ; it explains the variation that the existence is comparatively reach between masson pine families.2. The order of family heritability, individual heritability and heritability inside family is height>stem volume>DBH>crown width>ratio of height and DBH> ratio of crown width and DBH > straightness.3.The traits correlation analysis indicates: The table mould correlation of stem volume and height ,DBH ,crown width , has achieved the utmost point level of significance , The straightness with other traits correlation indicates that we can get some improvements when we select other traits.The wood density with tracheid traits correlation analysis indicates that achieve significance between families in clonal seed orchards of masson pine, not significant in family .In tracheid traits correlation analysis, it has achieved the utmost point level of significance in tracheid length and tracheid width. The young -mature forest correlation in wood density,tracheid length, tracheid width is not notable in clones and its offspring of clonal seed orchards.4. Tracheid traits have achieved the notable correlation standard. Using model's correlation analysis: wood density trait has better forecasting effect to growth traits of the first canonical variance of the wood traits, The first canonical variances of growth traits have the better forecasting ability to the wood traits except the stem volume.5.The difference comparison in different families between the stem volume and height of masson with ck is notable .The suggestion is given to set height the first place in the growth capacity evaluation of the young masson pine families, the stem volume as consultant trait.6. the selection of breeding value is a rational, handy and good measure. Using the synthetical index law by height with other 7 traits, 10 half-sib families are selected out. Using comprehensive marking, the sequence has been in progress to 37 clones. We can get 72.1%,2.0%, 14.3%,4.4% improvements respectively inseed-producing amount, seed-producing percentage ,germination percentage and stem volume in family .By way of synthetical analysis to the traits of selection, we have chosen some clones and half-sib families better comparatively , providing some masson pine of better heredity mould by measuring for real plants.
