Changes of E2,T,FSH,LH of bee (Apis melliferal L) and royal jelly were measured by radioimmunoassay (RIA), and analysised as well as their relationships with caste differentiation, reproductive development, we also used exogenesis E2 and FSH handling the 3th instar queen larve to investigate their effects on the endogenesis hormone secretion, emergence weight and ovary development. The result were as follows: 1. E2,T,FSH and LH existed in three types of bees and took on a change profile at different developmental stages.1.1 E2 content( 0.319±0.035ng/g-0.186±0.047ng/g ) in the 4-5th instar worker larve was much lower than that(1.387±0. 269ng/g-0.858±0. 002ng/g) of 4-5th instar queen larve (p<0.01). In the meantime,T (0.776±0. 026ng/g-0.732 ± 0. 130ng/g) in worker larve were higher than E2(p<0.05), but the situation was the opposite in queen larve( 1.478 ± 0. 172ng/g-0.646±0.001ng/g).1.2 During development of the new emerged worker in a queenless condition, E2, T ,LH (1.336±0.054 ng/g, 3.047±0.049 ng/g, 1.140± 0.062mIU/g) increased significantly at the third day as compared with emerged worker(0.645±0.001 ng/g, 0.658±0.017 ng/g, 0.829±0.078mIU/g) (p<0.05 or p<0.01), elevating range in T was much higher than that in E2. then increased progressively untill the 7th day, At the 7th day ,a sharp rise could be observed in T and LH(3.629±0.191ng/g, 1.285±0. 017 mIU/g) (p<0.05).1.3 E2 (2.187 ± 0. 265 ng/g) in nurse bee was higher than one(1.441±0. 037 ng/g) of the 7th worker after emergence in a queenless condition (p<0.05), but T,FSH,LH differed unsignificantly(p>0.05). E2 and T(1.115±0. 244ng/g, 1.343±0. 084 ng/g) in forager bee reduced comparing with the nurse bee(2.187± 0. 265ng/g, 3.844±0.084 ng/g) (p<0.05),and the desend scope in T was larger, but FSH, LH(11.794±0268 mlU/g, 1.785 ± 0.014 mlU/g ) were higher than nurse bee(9.048 ± 0. 943 mlU/g, 1.424 ± 0.030mIU/g ) (p<0.05).1.4 In 12-day-old overwintering bee at the same developmental stage with nurse bee, E2 and FSH (5.394±0.471 ng/g, 23.85 ± 2. 551 mlU/g ) were much higher than those of the nurse bee (p<0.01). but T and LH differed unsignificantly(p>0.05).1.5 From the 4th queen larve instar to sexual maturity, E2 (1.387 ±0.269 ng/g) , T (1.478 ±0.172 ng/g) ,FSH (13.009±1.760mIU/g) ,LH (2.279±0.009 mlU/g) in the 4th larve instar were much higher as compared with other stages (p<0.05 or p<0.01). E2,T,LH increased significantly from energence (0.197±0.004 ng/g, 0.407±0.168 ng/g, 1.284 ± 0.027 mlU/g) to sexual maturity (1.081 ±0.076 ng/g, 0.935±0.007 ng/g, 1.419±0.033 mlU/g) (p<0.05), and the ascend extent in E2 was larger than T. FSH also increased but differed unsignificantly(p>0.05). E2 of sexual maturity was higher than T.1.6 From the 4th drone larve instar to emergence, T was always higher than E2, T was higher than one of other stages at the 5th larve instar (1.126 ± 0.441 ng/g) and the 11 th pupal (1.120 ± 0.079 ng/g ) just corresponding to the development of male reproductive organs and the spermatogenesis period(p<0.05).2. In per gram royal jelly,E2 (4.171±0. 520 ng/g) was higher than nurse bee, butT(2.476 ± 0.160 ng/g) was just opposite(p<0.05), E2 and T were both much higher than larve in same instar, but FSH was opposite(p<0.01). E2 was higher than T in various instar royal jelly. (p<0.05).3. the 3th instar queen larve was treated with 4ul E2 solution at three different concentrations (1ug/ul, 2ug/ul, 5ug/ul), number of ovarioles(336± 12, 324±19, 332 ± 26)increased significantly as compared with control group(280±21)(p<0.05), but emergence weight appeared no significant change(p>0.05), After treatment with 4ul FSH solution of two different concentrations (50mlu/ul,100mlu/ul), both birth weigh(252.3 ± 16.4g, 254.6 ± 16.7g)and number of ovarioles(309 ± 10 , 311 ±9) were higher significantly than control(223.9±8.9g, 283± 19) (p<0.05), The treatment of exogenesis E2 and FSH significantly affect the secretion of endogenesis E2,T ,FSH.
