It had been proved that GNA gene had more high insect resistance. At present, a great variety of crops and cultivars had been transferred by GNA gene and they had expressed certain level of insect resistance to aphids and rice brown planthopper (RBP). We had gained some GNA transgenic rice purified lines resist to RBP. However, reports concerned of evaluating technique and procedure for RBP resistance were few and not consistent. To identify resistance of transgenic rice in successive generations and highly active breed, we improved evaluating technique and procedure, used this procedure to identify resistance of GNA transgenic rice to RBP from TO to T3 generations. In T2 generation resistant purified lines were selected more exactly.(1) Using improved evaluating technique and procedure, we identified resistance of GNA transgenic rice to RBP from TO to T3 generations and screened out 17 purified lines, resistant levels of which were mostly between resistant control (IR36) and respective original variety (R507 and R818).(2) The results of variance analysis indicated there were very significant differences of resistant levels between transgenic rice and respective original varieties. The results also showed that very significant difference existed between resistant control and transgenic lines, except three of lines (R507G-3-1, 507G-7-4, 507G-3-2). Based on damaged degree of rice plant, R507G-3-1 has reached resistant standard, the two others (507G-7-4, 507G-3-2) belong to middle resistant level.(3) As far as progenies of transgenic rice R507 were concerned, therewas no significant difference in resistant level among different purified lines from the same callous, while the converse result was found in transgenic rice R818. No significant difference was found among different purified lines from different calli of R507 and R818.
