From March in 2000 to April in 2001 ,we took the primary studies on the feeding behavior ecology and the reproducing behavior ecology of Macrobrachium nipponensis and Pseudobagrus fulvidraco .The results showed that Macrobrachium nipponensis exhibited apparent sexual selection .females selected the strong males ,while males preferred to the sexual mature females ; the population density affected male-male competition, female mate choice, the opportunity for sexual selection and reproductive territory behaviors ;The different individuals' mating strategies were various such as mono-gamy, poly-gamy or 'sneaking' mating . The optimal diet was determined by the food species, the prey distribution and the prey availability in the peculiar situation ;The foraging tactics of Macrobrachium nipponensis were 'ambush' or 'sneaking' or others ; About Pseudobagrus fulvidraco ,males performed occupied reproductive nests behaviors, females always chose big males for mating and their spawning behaviors adaptively varied to the various situations; The food constitution and the prey availability constrained the optimal diets ;The shoaling could bring to Pseudobagrus fulvidraco the benefits of faster finding food, avoiding predation risk and defending resource Jn a word , animals' behaviors could reflect the eco-environment and maximize the individuals' survival fitness and reproductive success.
