Dynamic changes of endothelin in ascites broilersM.Sc.Candiate: Hao LiLiSupervisor: Liang Licheng Associate Professor He Cheng Associate ProfessorThe experiment was conducted by using 260 Abroe Acoe (AA) broiler chicks to investigate the changes of endothelin on ascites broilers. Chicks were randomly divided into two groups in 15-day age, with 60 chicks as normal control group exposed to 22-23℃, and 200 chicks as low temperature control group exposed to 9-11℃.The result are as follows:On 3,4,5week , the concentrations of endothelin in plasma of ascites chicks were respectively 87.75±4. 12, 107.89±3.55, 118.20±3.11(pg/ml), and were higher than normal control group (P<0. 05) ; on 4,5,6,7week , the values of Mpap of ascites chicks were 3. 49±2.23, 4. 68±1.58, 6.11±3.02, 5. 03±2.75kpa, and were significantly higher than control group (P<0. 05) .On 5,6,7week,ascites heart indxes in ascites chicks were 25.88±0. 17, 25.36±0.23, 24.13±0.22(%) and were significantly higher than normal control group(P<0. 01) .On 3,4, 5,6,7week, the values of PCV in ascites chicks were 8.02±0.23,38.62±0.38, 44.39±0.68, 45.07±0.32, 43. 06±0. 44(%) and were significantly higher thannormal control group (P<0.01) .Pulmonary artery hypertension is key factor to the broilers ascites, endothelin accelerates the development of the pulmonary artery hypertension by contracting pulmonary artery, etc. The experiment result shows that endothelin is the key factor in the development of the boilers ascites .
