Analysis On Economic Characters Of Mainly Promoted Hybrid Rice In Guangdong

The correlation and path action among economic characters to grain yield for 11 mainly promoted hybrid rice in Guangdong were analyzed .The results showed as follow:The filled spikelets per panicle, biomass, panicle number per plant and seed set rate were positive correlated to single plant grain yield, among which, the filled spikelets per panicle reached 5% significance level, and biomass reached 1% significance level. But 1000 grain weight, panicle length, plant height, flag leaf area and panicle neck length were negative correlated to single plant grain yield, among which, the 1000 grain weight reached 1% significance level.Path analysis results showed that the filled spikelets per panicle played the most important role in the formation of single grain yield. The biomass, the 1000 grain weight, panicle length, flag leaf area were less. The plant height, panicle per plant and seed set rate had negative effect to single plant grain yield, of which, the plant height had the most negative effect.Therefore, it is clear that in breeding high yield rice variety, it would be suggested to select large panicle with long panicle and more filled spikelets.
