This paper studied the effects of reduction of air humidity and increment of air temperature in plastic shed in the southern areas by laying lime, covering plastic film, smoking, smoking + laying lime, smoking + covering plastic film, covering plastic film + laying lime, and smoking +covering plastic film + laying lime under different conditions, i.e. ventilation in a sunny, cloudy and rainy day, and without ventilation in a cloudy and rainy day respectively. The results showed that: (1) the effect of each treatment was different except that the difference was little at 14:00 under without ventilation in the cloudy and rainy day. Laying lime had least effect on reduction of air humidity, the next was covering plastic film and covering plastic film + laying lime, then it was smoking and smoking + laying lime, and the best was smoking + covering plastic film and smoking + covering plastic film + laying lime; (2) under different climate condition the effect on reduction of air humidity was the best in a sunny day, next cloudy and then rainy day; and (3) the effects on reduction of air humidity was better with ventilation than without ventilation.As for the effect of each treatment on reduction of air temperature: (l)smoking, smoking + laying lime, smoking + covering plastic film, and smoking + covering plastic film + laying lime all played their roles; and (2) ventilation decreased air temperature in plastic shed and this effect was the biggest in a sunny day, next in a cloudy day and finally in a rainy day.
