| In this paper genetic diversity and fingerprintings of S.intagra and S.suchowensis Cheng with microsatellite(SSR) markers. Based on the study researching direction of Salix were discussed. The results of follows:The samples from 78 S.intagra and 19 S.suchowensis Cheng were amplify and analysis with 23 polymorphic microsatellite loci screened from 496 Poplus primers. Average number of alleles(A) and effective number of alleles(Ne) were 4.3913 and 2.2199 in the interspecies. The mean expected heterozygosity(He) was 0.4350, the mean Nei diversity index(h) was 0.4409 and Shannon information index was 0.6800 on average.In S.intagra, average number of alleles(A) and effective number of alleles(Ne) were 3.8261 and 2.1097 and Shannon information index was 0.6800 on average in the intraspecies more than in S.suchowensis Cheng. In S.suchowensis Cheng, average number of alleles(A) and effective number of alleles(Ne) were 2.5217 and 1.6345 and Shannon information index was 0.6800 on average in the intraspecies.In 23 pairs of primers, S.intagra could identified from S.suchowensis Cheng with primer ORNL146. I1 I27 S.intagra had specific band in the fingerprint of the primer ORNL308 differing from other 51 S.intagra. I1 I27 S.intagra were identified by primer ORNL312, ORNL301, ORNL217, ORNL282, ORNL.140, ORNL.211, ORNL410, ORNL149, ORNL63. Another 51 S.intagra were identified by primer ORNL312, ORNL308, ORNL217, ORNL301, ORNL146.19 S.suchowensis Cheng were identified by primer ORNL464, ORNL140, ORNL409, ORNL126, ORNL122, ORNL85, ORNL149.18 S.intagra had specific band in the fingerprint of the primer ORNL312. 4 S.intagra had specific band in the fingerprint of the primer ORNL464. Primer ORNL146, ORNL464, ORNL312, ORNL308 were more efficient in constructing willow fingerprint.In 23 pairs of primers, 97 willow species could identified by the core 15 pairs of primers.According to its biological and genetic properties, Salix had significantly utilization in forest genetics.
