The experiment, which in order to provided the theory of breeding high oil corn inbred lines and putting up high oil corn hybrids, introduced into six single crossing species from North of China and innovated the germ plasma by creating synthetic hybrid through cross-pollination among one female parent and several male parents. And the experiment studied on the questions of high oil corn about the adaptability of single crossing hybrids planted in GuangXi, and the correlation about oil ratio with other main characters of synthetic hybrids and inbred progeny, and the character of oil distributing, and the variation coefficient and the genetic potential of oil ratio which in inbred progeny. The result of the experiment as following:1 , The high oil corns from North of China had some difference to comparison. For example, the leaves were less, and ears were shorter and bigger, and oil ratio and yield were higher. Altogether, after planting in GuangXi, the single crossing species of high oil corn from North of China had good agriculture characters and economy characters, and it'sgrowth season was almost the as same as comparison, the oil ratio of kernel was lower than the one in North of China because of the high temperature climate in GuangXi.2, The correlation of oil ratio with main characters of high oil corn was different for difference of experiment materials, some were positive, while others were negative.3 , The kernels in ear-middle were the biggest and it's oil ratio was the highest, on the contrary, the kernels in ear-top were the smallest and it's oil ratio was the lowest.4, The oil ratio of embryo was the highest in seed and it was more than 33% of embryo weight. There was more than 85% oil content of seed in the embryo and others was in the endosperm. So the key factor of affecting the oil ratio of kernel is the volume of embryo.5, The variation coefficient and genetic potential of kernel oil ratio of high oil corn inbred progeny were varge. The genetic potential approximated to 1, so it is possible to select inbred lines which have higher kernel oil ratio from inbred progeny.
