The project aiming at establishing a new cross breeding technological system of rose and a new rose group with independed property right has been carrying out by study on the key technology of rose cross breeding.Firstly, we identified and apraised the primary rose germplasms in Beijing and collected some excellent wild species such as R. chinensis var. spontanea and so on. On the bases, the technological study of cross breeding was developed.Experiment proved 5-8% sucrose was fit for germinating of rose pollens. The pollen vitalities of R. xanthina and R. alba could be respectively keeped to 10.1% and 8.7% after 16 weeks under - 20C. Repeat pollination, hormone treated technology and embryo rescue were helped to conquer hybrid incompatibility. The ovules were isolated weekly and cultured on different mediums. Some progenies had been obtained, bloomed in the same year. Whole clearing technology was attempted in embryo rescue to decide the optimum culture time, it was efficient for pre-embryos.With 74 cross combinations, the total number of pollinated flowers being 1015, a series of cross breeding resulted in obtaining 732 hybrid seeds. 107 seedlings were obtained and the heterozygosity of 7 seedlings in 2003 were identified with RAPD method, the finger prints showed that they were all hybrids.'Xueshan Jiaoxia' is a good cultivar for standard rose, selected in our school in 1990. Its rapid propagation in vitro was studied, some key techniques were tested and discussed in the paper.Some Chinese old roses had been studied, concerning their excellent characters, they have high potentials when used as parents in rose breeding .Lastly, the mode of Cross Breeding Technological System of Rose in Beijing Forestry University was discussed.
