| This thesis analyzed 13 quality characteristics and the relative significance of genotype , test site ,genotypeX site interaction effects on those 13 quality characteristics with the data collected from 38 middle early season and middle season japonica rice cultivars tested at 4 trial sites of the regional trial of Jilin province in 2003. The results showed that:1. Chalky trait, amylose content, milled rice recovery and grain length reaching department standard I of grain quality strait is very low.2. In 38 rice cultivars tested in this experiment^The performances of Jiv01A7, Dongda20, T02, are the best, having seven quality characteristics reached department standard I of grain quality strait.3. There were significant differences in all quality characteristics among different genotype, test site and genotypexsite interaction.4. All the quality characteristics were predominantly conditioned by genotype effect. The amylose content was mostly conditioned by genotype effect and the head rice recovery was mostly conditioned by environment effect.5. Because of the relationship between chalkiness rate, amylose content and chalkiness area, it benefits to improve the quality at the same time. There are positive relationship between alkali removing and amylose content and negative relationship between protein content and gel consistency.6. In this trial, the more important characteristics to the comprehensive evaluation in proper order is chalkiness rate, grain length, amylose content, length/width, protein content, head rice recovery, alkali removing, brown rice, transparency, milled rice recovery, gel consistency, chalkiness rate.7. The main goal improving rice quality in Jilin province should be Cultivate the varieties without chalk or less chalk, with low amlose content, with high milled rice recovery and with longer grain length. |
