| The preservative agents mainly includes: pretreatment agent, vase agent. The article is about the effects of different freshening agent on the aging of cut gerbera. On the basis of the observing of the vase life, the water balance, the fresh weight changing of inflorescence, it was studied that the aging mechanism of cut gerbera, the effects of different concentrations of freshening agent comprising of single chemical compounds, the preserving effects of CaCl2 solution to different varieties of gerbera. The main results are shown as follows:1. Different categories and different concentrations of freshening agent have different effects on vase life of cut gerbera. CK, 6-BA and IAA have no distinct effect on the vase life of cut gerbera. K2HPO4 and CaCl2 can prominently prolong the vase life, and the effect of CaCl2 is better. The effects of 75mg/L K2HPO4 and 0.4% CaCl2 are better than the other treatments and could be used in the next step.2. In the study of pretreatment, cut gerbera were pretreated by different concentrations of 6-BA, K2HPO4, CaCl2 and IAA, then stored at the temperature of 4 ℃ . The four treatments are significant effects on cut gerbera. Among them, 6-BA, K2HPO4, CaCl2 is better than IAA. It shows that the pretreatment agents of different concentrations to cut gerbera can restore of the dehydrated cells and strengthen the stems. As a result, the vase life of cut gerbera is prolonged.3. The effects of different concentrations of CaCl2 on cut Gerbera. The experiment shows that 0.4% CaCl2 is the best concentration among the treatments.
