The experiment was carried out in the scale of family range in typical steppe of Inner Mongolia, which was aimed at the correspondence of the community and main population towards the two grazing systems. The results showed as follow: (1)Different grazing systems led to the decrease of similarity index; rotational grazing increase the important value of Leymus chinenesis and decrease the important value of Stipa grandis;continuous grazing increase the important value of Stipa grandis and decrease that of Leymus chinenesis.Rotational grazing enhanced the community standing crops above ground and the tendency of root moving upward was less than that in continuous area.(2)The effection of the grazing systems towards the height of Stipa grandis and Leymus chinenesis was not notable;continuous grazing increased the coverage and density of Stipa grandis;rotational grazing enhanced the coverage and density of Leymus chinenesis.(3)Rotational grazing could increase the standing crops of Leymus chinenesis and Stipa grandis;the standing crop of Cleistogenes squarrosa was enhanced in continuous area. The plant water content during the arid years in rotational area was lower than that in continuous area, and the dry materials was higher that in continuous area;there didn't exist notable diffence of the ration of dry material and fresh material between two grazing systems.(4)Rotational grazing system increased the light saturation point of Stipa grandis and Leymus chienesis, however, the effection towards light compensive point was not significant. Therefore,it enlaged the extent of light utilization. The effection of light saturation point and compensive point of Cleistogenes squarrosa between two grazing systems was not signigicent. The effection of all-weather photosynthesis of Stipa grandis,Leymus chinenesis and Cleistogenes squarrosa between two grazing systems was not significant ,which indicated as the shape of two-humped.
