Effects of several factors, such as medium, cutting periods ,types of explants, and plant growth regulators on in vitro culture and propagation of Crataegus laevigata 'Paul s scarlet' were investigated in detail in the thesis. The axilla-buds from the cuttings of branchs picked in April were the optimal explants. The optimal initial medium is WPM basal medium supplemented with 6-BA (1.0 mg/L) and NAA (0.1 mg/L) and the rate of sprouting was up to 54% accordingly. .The explants differentitated a lager number of young buds on WPM basal medium containing 6-BA (0.2 mg/L) and NAA(0.02 mg/L). On the above medium shoots multiplicated by 8.87-fold after35 days of culture. During the rooting period the plantlets is blooming .According to reduce the inorganic compounds and sugar contents, we control the blooming and produced the plantlets rootingThe regenerated shoots were rooted on the 1/16 strength MS basal medium supplemented with 1/2MS microelement and 1.0 mg/L IAA and the rate of rooting could reached to 37%. The complete plantlets were transplanted into substrate (perlite:vermiculite) is better.
