This research cleared the function of four enzymes (Phenylalanine ammonia-Lyase, Polyphenol Oxidase, peroxidase and catalase) in wheat resistance to Sitobion azvenae (Fabricius) . Five wheat, two high-resistant cultivars/selections (KOK1679 and My295), one middle-resistance cultivars (Li), and two susceptible cultivars (Beijing837 and Beijing411) were been researched. The Phenylalanine ammonia-Lyase, Polyphenol Oxidase and peroxidase activity of aphid-resistant wheat were higher than aphid-susceptible wheat, and after aphids infested, flag leaf and ear enzymes activities were increased. Catalase activity of KOK1679 and Li were higher than other wheat. After aphids feeding, resistant wheat activities changes of Phenylalanine ammonia-Lyase were more dramatic, while Polyphenol Oxidase, peroxidase of susceptible were more dramatic.This research cleared the function of four enzymes (Phenylalanine ammonia-Lyase, Polyphenol Oxidase, peroxidase and catalase) in wheat resistance to aphids. Activities of KOK1679 and Li of seedling stage were higher than other cultivars, Activities of KOK1679 at shooting period was highest, and the lowest were Beijing837 and Beijing411. Of flag leaf, KOK1679 was the highest. Of ear, Beijing411 was the highest.CAT activity of different cultivars and different growing stages were different. Of lOaphids/wheat treatment, POD activities of all cultivars at 48h were the highest. Of 20aphids/wheat treatment, except My295, POD activities of all cultivars at 72h were the highest.Gels stained for PPO and POD identified differences in the isozyme profiles of different time after infested by aphids, and some of the profiles become darker according the prolonged intervals, some become thiner.
