High Voltage Electrostatic Fields(HVEF) is universal in nature, life on earth has been adapted to the ground electronic radiation environment in the long-term evolution of the process. But with the wide application of communication and electric power industry and the rapid development of electrical equipment, external electromagnetic have being strengthened rapidly, which results a strong selection pressure to biology. Despite this selection pressure in the field of medicine has become a hot topic, but in entomological research has not attracted attention. Insects is a good genetic evolution of experimental materials because of the individual small, short generation cycle, easy feeding, especially the aphids are the important experimental material to study the electrostatic field on biological evolution effect. However, at present the research showed that HVEF direct treatment has significant influence to s.avenae, but aphids are feeding on wheat, then the questions we want to know------A short-term treatment of wheat whether has indirect effect to aphids or not, the protective enzyme in wheat leaves how to display. In addition, electrostatic field can also be a method to control pest, but how much dose can be lethal, it is also unclear.High Voltage Electrostatic Fields(HVEF) are reported to influence a wide variety of biological and physics systems. To evaluation the HVEF effects of S. avenae on growth, development, reproduction, corresponding protective enzyme activity and population dynamics, this study we treated wheat seeds with different intensity of HVEF, and take the first generation, the fifth generation, the tenth generation of aphids, research on the ecological genetics parameters, and measure the impacts on enzyme activities and population dynamics in potted wheat.1. Influences of HVEF on life-table parameters are notable.the generation span(T): Compared with the CK(0 kV/cm), the generation span(T) in treated groups were shorter in the aphids’ first and fifth generations, but the T of tenth generation was not greatly affected by HVEF.rm: Compared with control, 2kV/cm and 4kV/cm were the key intensity which lead significantly lower level of rm in the first generation, while the concentration was only 2kV/cm in the fifth generation(P<0.05). In the tenth generation there was only 4kV/cm can significantly affect the rm(P<0.05)R0: It is similar with the intrinsic rate of increase, 4 kV/cm HVEF treatment can make the net reproductive rate(R0) decreased significantly, suggesting that HVEF has played a inhibition on wheat aphid reproductive capacity and population growth.2. Effects of HVEF on enzyme activities of wheat leaves are significant.(1) Separate observation of HVEF on wheat seedlings, the change of antioxidant enzymes show that, the peak of SOD and POD activity appeared in the 4 kV/cm treatment group, while CAT activity remained stable. The responsive protective enzyme system of wheat were very effective to adverse effects of HVEF.(2) After the leaves fed by aphids, the result was that, SOD decreased to the lowest value in 4 kV/cm treatment group. By inference, wheat couldn’t regulate the enzyme activity to remove excess free radicals, so that it cause more harm to wheat3. The antioxidase activity of wheat aphid has a significant effect. When the wheat aphids fed on the wheat treated by HVEF, significant changes have taken place in the activity of antioxidant enzymes in the body. Compared with the control group, The enzymes activity of SOD and CAT had significantly improved, but the treatment groups was ruleless; and POD did not respond in a timely manner. By inference, the damage HVEF on wheat aphid could not be avoided, resulting in the wheat aphid had a certain degree of injury.4. HVEF has a significant effect on the population development of S. avenae. The logistic function was fitted, showed the K(The maximum carrying capacity) of HVEF treatment groups were decreased, the 4 kV/cm group has the minimal environmental capacity, indicating that the HVEF treatment was disadvantageous for the population development of wheat aphid. In summary, there were significant effects of HVEF on wheat aphid performance in generation duration, reproductive capacity, protective enzyme activity, and the population dynamics etc.. S. avenae was influenced by the degree of intensity of HVEF, and there is a threshold effect obviously. Through the analysis, the final conclusion is the effect of 4 kV/cm HVEF on wheat aphid is the most significant.
