| Mycorrhiza is an organism in a symbiontic relationship with most of plants. It is popular phenomena in natural world. It has been more 100years since the first discovery of mycorrhizal association in nature. However, little attention was paid to this symbiosis until some important functions beneficial to the health growth of plants were discovered in 1960's. With the development of science and the progress of society, the research on mycorrhiza will make great progress in China.There are two mainly mycorrhizal species. One is ectomycorrhiza, the other is endomycorrhiza. In these years, many mycorrhizaists think it is more reasonable in three mycorrhizal species: ectomycorrhiza, endomycorrhiza and ectendomycorrhiza.The research is mainly about six dominant populations in Evergreen Broad-leaved Forest in Tiantong Zhejiang province. These dominant populations are Pinus massoniana Lamb, Schima superba Gardn et. Champ, Castanopsis fargesii, Lithocarpus glaber, Castanopsis sclerophylla, Camellia fraternna. The shape of mycorrhiza is different. Generally, the rate of infection is low in bare areas in Dec.2003. The quality of spore and the kinds of Ectomycor-rhiza are different in different seasons. The study show:1. Pinus massoniana Lamb is a typical ectomycor-rhiza tree. The shape of Pinus massoniana Lamb mainly includes single, forked, coralline, and dendritic. The color includes brown, filemot, milk white and hazel. The rate of average infection is low in bare area. It is high in the third area. The rate of average infection is low in Dec.2003 .Tt is high in May 2005. There are four sections six categories eight species accrete with Pinus massoniana Lamb. P. tinctorius(Pers.), S.bovista Fr and L.deliciosus(L.ex.Fr)Gery are more popular than the others.2. Schima superba Gardn et. Champ is an endomycorrhiza tree. The mycelial root is thick. It is rough. Its cytoplasm is dense. The director is about 30 um. It has no offshoot. It has several drupes. There is some triangular tuber in the wall of the cell. The shape of spore outside the root is mainly distinguished four kinds: round, colorless, single wall; elliptical, colorless, theca-liked; long-stick, colorless,no-shaped; cone-shaped, wine, single. The mycelium inside the root is mainly made up of some mycelium between cells. The bursa has three shapes: global, columned and elliptic. The rate of average infection and the quality of spore of Schima superba Gardn et. Champ is different in different areas, it is low in the third area, it is high in the fourth area. The rate of average infection and the quality of spore of Schima superba Gardn et. Champ is low in Dec.2003 and it is high in Sep.2004.3. Castanopsis fargesii is an endomycorrhiza tree. The mycelium outside the root is made up of thick and thin walls. The spore outside the root is mainly four shapes: elliptic, colorless, hard; round, brown, single; long-stick, purple, no-shape; cone-shaped, colorless, single; elliptic, colorless, theca. The mycelium inside the root is mainly made up of some mycelium between cells. Its shape likes a tree. The bursa has two shapes: global and elliptic. The rate of average infection and the quality of spore of Castanopsis fargesii is low in the third area and it is high in the sixth area. Furthermore, it is low in Dec.2003 and it is high in Sep.2004.4. Lithocarpus glaber is an endomycorrhiza tree. The mycelium outside the root is made up of thick wall. The shape of the spore outside the root is round , colorless, layer-built; round, colorless, single; elliptic, purple, single; elliptic, colorless, no-shaped. The mycelium inside the root is mainly made up of some mycelium between cells. Its shape likes a tree. The bursa is global. The rate of average infection and the quality of spore of Lithocarpus glaber is low in the third area. Furthermore, it is low in Dec.2003 and it is high in Sep.2004.5.
