Health Assessment Of Evergreen Broad-leaved Forest In Jiangle Forest Farm

As the evergreen broad-leaved forest health problems being increasingly concerned in southern collective forest, the main purpose of this paper is to build a health assessment system to give a quantitative concepts of forest health. At first, based on the needs of the community, to study the forest dominated function type by using a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. Secondly, using the optimal forest dominated function type as the premise to build a health assessment system. And then, using the analytic hierarchy weighting method, entropy method and combination weighting method to determine the index weighting separately, the best weighting method will be chosen according the health assessment results of the evergreen broad-leaved forest in1996and2007. Last, under the former conclusions, the evergreen broad-leaved forest in2012is evaluated either by using the new index weighting system for the permanent plot, which can verify the reasonableness of the assessment system further. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) Through the social needs of Jiangle County and the function types of the evergreen broad-leaved forest, it shows that the dominated function type can be divided into four categories, the priority order is:biodiversity conservation type> soil and water conservation type> eco-tourism type> timber production type;(2) Based on biodiversity conservation function type, the health assessment system contains four aspects, organizing force, anti-interference force, productivity and service functions, and14sub-indexes, age group, site grade, canopy density, community structure, slope, disease degree, damaged extent, anti-disturbance capability, average DBH, volume, soil thickness, origin, conservation value and tree vigorous degree.(3) The comparative study shows that the combination weighting method is the best. Taking this method to evaluate the evergreen broad-leaved forest, the average health index value is0.60in1996and0.62in2007, the forest health level changes from sub-health to health. The total situation is improved. Then the assessment result in2012is0.64, the forest at healthy level, which tally with the actual situation.(4) According to the results of health assessment, the author puts forward some specific health forest management suggestions fitting for Jiangle area.
