This experiment including three tests: in tset â…  and II, "shixia" longan trees cultivated in pot were sprayed with 350 mg ? L-1ethephon and water CK in November and December separately; test â…¢ is as the same as test â…  and â…¡, but use the fields longan tree as test material. The effects of ethephone on Longan certain physiological items, growth of shoot and flowering were studied. The results shows:1. Ethephone treatment reduced solube protein content in leaves and increased the content of dissociate amino acid after sprayed 10 days. Solube protein content increased slowly and higher than CK after sprayed 20 days.2. The content of reducing suger and solube suger of treatment in leaf were lower than CK after sprayed 10 days . On the contrary, starch content in leaf of treatment was higher than CK notably at the same time .3. The treatment made IAA, GA3, ZT content of terminal bud and leaves fall sharplyand ABA, ETH content increase suddenly. The treatment raised the ratios of ZT/IAA, ZT/GA3 and ABA/IAA, but reduced the ratio of ZT/ABA.4. Ethephone treatment made total chlorophyll content reduce during sprayed 10-30 days. It was in conformity with CK after sprayed 40 days. Ethephone treatment reduced nitrogen content in leaves, C/N ratio of treatment increased notably. The Phosphorus content in leaves reduced after treated 10 days,but it rised notebly afterwards. The treatment had no effect on Patassium, Calcium and Magnesium content in leaves.5. Ethephon treatment delayed the time of germination and flower bud morphological differentiation of longan tree cultivated in pot. However , infields, treatment and CK had no difference in the germination time of tip bud, the present time of purplish red inflorescence primordium, instiating bloom period, bloom period and wither period.6.Ethephon treatment effectively decreased infloresence" flushing" and had less leafy panicles. Flowering tree rate ,flowering shoot rate and pure panicle rate in treatment were higher than that in CK significantly.
