In this experiment, we researched the structure change of integral hair follicle(H·E) at growing period in fostered phase using three different culture media. We adopted integral H·E under the cutis at the back of Mongolia sheep. The result: using the culture medium contained DMEM and blood serum, most of H·E died in 3 days. The longest living days were five; using the culture medium contained DMEM , blood serum, insulin and so on, most of H·E stopped living at the 8 or 9 days. The average living days were 9,the shortest growing period were 4 days and the longest were 15 days. The average growth speed was 0.039 ㎜/d. The fastest growing speed was 0.069 ㎜/d and the slowest was 0.016 ㎜/d; using the culture medium contained insulin,some other growing factors and DMEM without blood serum, most of H·E could live 40 days and then stopped growing. The average growing day of these H·E could reach more than 35 days, the shortest living days were 25 and the longest growing period could reach 60 days. In these H·E, the average growing speed was 0.094 ㎜/d. The fastest growing speed of H·E was 0.165 ㎜/d and the slowest was 0.057 ㎜/d. In our fostered H·E, at the beginning of H·E growth, the basic structure was the same with them living in skin. Hair-bulb looked like pellet, hair-papilla was evident, the bourn of internal root sheath and external root sheath was clear, the fiber of connective tissue sheath cell arrayed regularly. At the end of fostered period, though H·E grew naturally, the structure had changed: hair-bulb became band-shaped ,looked like long and thin .Hair-papilla became unconspicuous or disappeared, the cleavage of hair-matrix cell became weaken. The bourn of internal root sheath and external root sheath was blurry, the fiber of connective tissue sheath cell arrayed disordered, the number of connective tissue cell reduced. When the fostered H·E was going to degeneration, H·E pasted wall, most of cell nucleus became pycnosis, the whole H·E lost typical structure character.
