America vegetable leafminer (Liriomyza sativae Blanchard ) was firstly found in Argentina in 1938. At present, the pest has been distributed in more than 40 nations and areas of 7 continents. Liriomyza sativae was first found in 1993 in Sanya city, Hainan province in China and has been reported in other all areas of China except Heilongjiang province and the Tibet autonomous. Recently, significant economic damage attributed to the pest has increased in Ningxia province, so it is very important to research law occurring and IPM of Liriomyza sativae. This paper researched systematicly occurrence law and integrated control technology of the pest. The main results were as follows:1. Through systematic survey in Yinchuan area, Ningxia, Liriomyza sativae harmed vegetables from the late May, and with temperature increased, the population increased constantly. The peak period of the pest appeared yearly in July and September respectively, and the most significant damage was found in the September. Higher temperature was not suitable to growth and reproduction of Liriomyza sativae, so population was kept at a lower level in August. The pest began to enter the hibernation from the late October. During one day, the day active law of the pest adult was single peak, the heightest peak is in 9:00 a.m. The analysis showed that it has obvious relationship between the day active law of the pest adult and change of temperature. Lower temperature made the active ability of the pest strengthen.2. The grown larvae of Liriomyza sativae left the tunnel to seek suitable place to pupate. Pupae naturally dropped to ground when the leave was waved. Emergence rhythm of adult indicated that most adults (female and male insect) emerged from 7:00 to 19:00. The rate of pupa emergence was 82.5% and the emergence peak was at 13:00 p.m. The longevity of the male was 2-12 days and most male died at the 6~th day. The longevity of female was 5-20days.3. The captures of yellow card were different with height of tomato plant and yellow card. The captures had significant difference between the height of 130cm and 90cm or 120cm of tomato plants, but there was not obvious difference between the height of 90cm and 120cm. Among the 5 different height of yellow cards, the captures was not differentiation between the height of 30cm and 60cm, but there was of significant difference in comparison to 90cm, 120cm and 150cm.4. Insecticide trial indicated that fenvalcrate, amamectin, Banqianjing have bestefficacies to control adults and larvae of Liriomyza sativae. The death rate of adult and larvae by contacting was 90%~100% and 7i.l5%~90.38% respectively. The death rate to the pupa by contacting was lower.5. According to the occurring law of the pest and the reality of Ningxia agriculture production, the integrated control technology of Liriomyza sativae has be put forward. The application and extendibility of the technology systems has brought better economic values, social values and ecological values.
