The effects of Cysteamine (CS) and Chromium Yeast (CrY) on performance, neurohormone, lipid metabolism and carcass characteristics were studied in finishing pigs. Seven-two Duroc ×Landrace-Yorkshire finishing pigs of original average weight 47.39±1.01kg were divided into four groups with three replicates, each of which including 6 pigs, in a randomized block design. The four groups were fed with corn-soybean basic diet (group CT), containing 600 mg/kg CS (group CS), containing 200 μg/kg CrY (group CrY), containing 600 mg/kg CS and 200 μg/kg (group CS+CrY), respectively. The result as follows: (1) Average daily gain (ADG) in group CS and group CS+CrY were higher than that in group CT (P>0.05), that in group CrY was lower than that in group CT (P>0.05). Average daily feed intake (ADFI) and feed/gain (F/G) in group CS, CrY and CS+CrY were lower than that in group CT (P>0.05). The contents of blood urea nitrogen (BUN) in group CS, CrY and CS+CrY were lower than that in group CT (P>0.05). (2) Compared with the group CT, the group CS and CrY improved the content of serum growth hormone (GH), free T4 (FT4), and the ratio of FT3/FT4 (P>0.05), the group CS+CrY increased significant the content of GH and the ratio of FT3/FT4 (P<0.05),decreased significant the content of FT4(P<0.05).The group CrY improved the content of serum FT3(P>0.05),the group CS and CS+CrY increased significant the content of serum FT3(P<0.05). The group CS, CrY and CS+CrY improved the content of serum Glu (P>0.05) and significant decreased the content of serum Ins (P<0.05),but the group CS tended to improve the ratio of Glu/ Ins(P>0.05),the group CS+CrY significant increased the ratio of Glu/ Ins (P<0.05). (3)Compared with the group CT, the group CS, CrY and CS+CrY intended to decrease the contents of serum total cholestriol (TC) and triglyceride (TG) (P>0.05), and increased the contents of serum high density lipoprotein(HDL) (P>0.05),the group CS and CS+CrY had dropped on the contents of low density lipoprotein(LDL) (P>0.05), the group CrY and the group CT were the same in the above. The group CS, CrY and CS+CrY intended to...
