This research is conducted to determine the effect of adding Nano-chromium(lll) on Carcass Composition, immunity and approach to the mechanism of the effects in growth-finishing pigs.Fifty-four growth-finishing pigs are divided into three groups on breed, sex, and weight. Each of which includes three replicates of six pigs. The groups received the same corn-soybean based diet, supplemented with 0(control group), chromium nicotinate(0. 2mg/kg), Nano-chromium (III) (0. 2mg/kg) respecetively. All growth-finishing pigs are given adequate diets and free access to water.After finishing trial, thirty-six pigs were selected from control, Nano-chromium (III) and chromium nicotinate (twelve pigs per group). Then they were slaughtered at the local abattoir to determine carcass characteristics and meat quality. The sample of the hypothalamus, pituitary gland and fat for cAMP analysis. Parts of the longissimus muscle, liver, fat, serum were collected for laboratory analysis.The results of feeding trial indicates that adding Nano-chromium (III) and chromium nicotinate have thetrend of raising average daily gain, at thesame time, reducing the F/G ration. Among the groups, the Nano-chromium(III) group was the better, but the different is no signicant.The slaughter trail indicate that the Nano-chromium( III) group increased the dissected lean ratio by 7. 2%(P<0. 05), decreased the dissected fat ratio by 17. 57%(p<0. 05) and leaf fat ratio by 17. 07%(p<0. 05), increase the weight of longissimus by 8.5%(p<0.05). Analysis of hypothalamus, pituitary gland and fat showed that Addition of Nano-chromium(III) increased the cAMP content of hypothalamus and fat by 19.91% (p<0.05) and 27.95% (p<0.05) respectively.Analysis of the muscle sample indicated:adding 0.2mg/kg Nano-chromium(HI) enhanced the level of intramuscular fat compared with control and chromium nicotinate. Nano-chromim(III) increased it by 76. 31%(p<0. 05);adding Nano-chromim(lII) increased red colour and myoglobin by 44. 16% (p<0. 01) , 124. 93% (p<0. 05). Adding 0. 2mg/kg Nano-chromim(III), the sediment is less than the nation standard, so it Is safe for people and animal.The fat sample analysis indicate that adding 0.2mg/kg Nano-chromium(III) and chromium nicotinate increased hormone sensitive lipase activities by 54.25% (p<0. 01), 18. 40% (p<0. 05), the former increased by 30. 27% (p<0. 05) compared with the last.The result of serum analysis showed as follows: (1) The Nano-chromium(III) group decreases the concentration of SUN in serum by 16. 83% (p<0. 05), but the result of chromium nicotinate group is no significantly. (2) Nano-chromium(III) and chromium nicotinate increased the content of total protein by 28. 4%(p<0. 01), 8. 31%(p<0. 05) respectively. (3) Adding Nano-chromium(III) and chromium nicotinate decreased CHL and TG3 by 17. 54(p<0. 05), 36. 26%(p<0. 05); increases FFA and HDL by 42. 23% (p<0. 05) and 33. 32% (p<0. 05). (4) Nano-chromiutn(III) increased C3 and IgA by 26. 23,17.12%(p<0. 05) compared with control. It also enhanced by 41. 28% (P<0. 05), 54. 76% (P<0. 05) compared with chromium ni cot inate. (5)Nano-chromium(III) increased GH, IGF-I by 133.33% (p<0. 01), 17.87% (p<0. 05) respectively, at the same time, It decreased insulin by 64.09% (p<0. 05).
