Investigation And Collection Of Excellent Pomegranate Resources And RAPD Identification

In this paper, investigation and collection of germplasm resources, isolation of genomic DNA and RAPD analysis were all studied for Punica granatum L.1. Many biological characters of pomegranate cultivars and the current situation of pomegranate production were reported in this paper. 31 cultivars were introduced and a pomegranate resource collection of 40020 m2 was set up, in which, there were 4 soft- seed type(Yichengruanzi,Tunishiruanzi,Heyinruanzi,Qingpiruanzi); 4 half soft-seed type(LinxuanNO.1,LinxuanNO.14,Heyinshiliu,Taishanhong); 2 sour type(Dahongsuan,Hongpisuan); 2 ornalmental type(Danbanhua,Aishiliu) ; 2 green-seed type(Dalvzi,Tianlvzi);l blue-seed type(Lanbaoshi) ; 3 slightly splitting fruit type(Dazi,HeyinNO.1,Dahongsuan);3 reduplicate petal type (Fenhonghua, Mudanhua Chongbanhua) .The ecological adaptabilities of introduced resources were investigated reliminarily and the cultivars which were in the Northern had good performance. The cultivars Qingpiruanzi ,Dalvzi introduced from Sichuan province were not frosted, but they grew weakly.Their adaptabilities needed to be further observed. Tianlvzi introduced from Yunnan were all frozen to die .2. Pomegranate producing areas in Henan were divided into 8 cultivated zones according to the investigation of pomegranate resources.A variety of Heyinshiliu ,HeyinNO.1 was found through investigation of Heyinshiliu resources,which had high-quality and high-output and was a very good later-mature type.The results of investigation indicated that Tianhongdan introduced to Zhengzhou and circumjacent areas was easily to be infected with root rot disease of pomegranate.and fruits splitting seriously of Jingpitian were found when the mature period was coming, it was easy to be infected with stem rot disease of pomegranate . The tree would die once it was infected seriously, so it was not suitable to develop in Zhengzhou area.
