This experiment was conducted to study the chemical structure and biological function of copper nicotinate,and also to provide theory support for reseach higher efficient copper additive.The present study consisted of parts as follows:1.Preparation of copper nicotinate and structure analysisFour different methods were used to synthesize copper nicotinate (chelate).The final synthesized productd were annlyzed with three methods,namely element analysis ,infrared spectroscopy and infrared spectroscopy .and they were proved to be same in term of chemical structure.2.Effect on growth performance and blood physiolgical parameters160 piglets selected were divided into five groups,a feeding trial was conducted at a pig farm for 28 days and the feeding design was as follows:Control group......basal diet +150mg/kg Cu from CuSO4·5H2OTrial group Ⅰ......basal diet +150mg/kg Cu from copper nicotinateTrial group Ⅱ......basal diet +135mg/kg Cu from copper nicotinateTrial group Ⅲ......basal diet +120mg/kg Cu from copper nicotinateTrial group Ⅳ......basal diet +105mg/kg Cu from copper nicotinateEach group had 4 repeats and each repeat used 8 piglets.The results of feed trial indicated that the ADG and ADFI of trial group Ⅰ ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ were higher than that of Control group,while the trial groupIV trended to decrease.At the same time.the FCR of the three former trial groups decreased at different degree, but the trial group Ⅳ raised slightly.The TP and ALB content of trial groups were not significantly different than that of control group,while the BUN content of trial groups were decreased significantly. The T-CHO and 1TG content of trial groups were lower than that of control group.The ALT content of trial groups were lower than control group except trial group Ⅱ which was decreased by 18.36%;The AST content of treatments were higher than that of control group ,while the ALP content had the trend of fall.
