Aiming at diseases and pests of massons pine, we set up 20 sample plots in Tieshanping forest farm in Chongqing city. Based on them, we have analyzed the inner relationship between diseases and pests and the factors of forest ecological system and management measures, then found out the main causes of the occurrence of diseases and pests, and optimized ecology control measures of main forest diseases and pests. By analyzing the relativity of disease index to stand and locality factors, we have got 8 factors that correlate closely to diseases and pest occurrence; We have set up multiple linear regression equation using disease index and the 8 factors, which can described the linear dependant relationship between them; Using principal component analysis, we have selected three principal components: Z1, Z2 and Z3 to reflect the information that the eight factors mentioned above and locality factors represent. Occurrence of forest diseases and pests correlates closely to nutritional status. By analyzing relativity of disease index to soil factors, we have found that disease index correlates closely to total nitrogen, PPO's activity and acid Phosphatase activity. In addition, afforestation measures can prohibit forest diseases and pests obviously. During the investigation time, the occurrence degree of Pine caterpillar is low, So we can not analyze them with stand and locality factors. We hope the research about Pine caterpillar can be continued, and the relationship between Pine caterpillar occurrence and the organization of forest ecology system can be found out in the future.
