The Research And Development Of Expert System For Forestry Resources Asset Evaluation

Expert System has been widely utilized in every field with its special superiorities in recent years. This system uses the abundant expert knowledge combining the reasoning abilities of Reasoning Machine and Expositor to simulate the decision process of human experts and solve complicated problems in relative fields.Taking the national forestry centers in Hunan province as research objects and Huangfeng Bridge National Forestry Center as an example, this study based on data managing system of the programming and designing forest resource in Hunan province implements the theories and methods of Expert System in the asset evaluation of forest resource and is of theoretical and practical importance for comprehensively using the knowledge and the technique of forestry resource asset evaluation to set up an expert system of the forestry resources asset evaluation for national forestry centers. The paper also puts forward the assumption of building the forecasting and asset evaluating expert system of forestry resources management with strong adaptability and more feasible reasoning process according to the Inventory System of National Forestry Centers, esp. sub-Forest Management Inventory.In the process of setting up the expert system knowledge base, a transition in reasoning rule from Chinese characters to codes has been realized through the analyses and study of the inventory cards of sub-compartment choosing 35 fields as reasonable ones from the 49 fields of the inventory coding according to the sequence of them in the table of the sub-compartment data base.To improve the utility of Expert System, the knowledge base of the forestry resources capital evaluation expert system and reasoning machine have been detached. Thus users can define the reasoning machine of Expert System feasibly, i.e they can define the reasoning process themselves choosing the most suitable formulas in resources renewal and capital assessment according to the varied conditions of different forestry centers in Hunan Province.The functions of Expositor have been carried out in a real sense by researching on the working principle of the Expert System, which makes it possi ble for the user to only define the reasoning process without worrying about the enforcing process, for Expositor will finish the reasoning completely in terms of the intentions of the users in combining the reasoning machine and the knowledge base.Using the MAPGIS module offered by ZONDY Company, the link of evaluation results and MAPGIS picture base has been achieved strengthening the visible function of the results evaluated making the results referring variable and easy to handleThrough collecting and arranging the expert knowledge, some forest formuladll and asset formuladll of certan species have been built providing some expert knowledge for other relative systems as well as simplifying the development of the systems related.
