Based on theory of soil water dynamics, in this paper parameters of soil unit weight, saturated water content and soil water movement of Ke'erKezi, XinJiang are determined by analysis of laboratory and field observation data. The paper also gives the numerical simulation of soil water movement in the typical field. The main results of this paper are as follows: 1. The paper gives the equation of soil water characteristic curve and soil hydraulic conductivity parameter by using experimental method in field in XinJiang for the first time and provides the parameter of the requirement of numerical simulation process. 2. The numerical simulation of soil water infiltration under the conditions of rainfall and irrigation have been carried out. The paper analyzes and contrasts the results of simulation and experimentation. Based on these, the paper predicts the soil water movement and has practical value for drawing up the rationale irrigation system. 3. The paper studies soil water movement under the condition of evaporation and the numerical simulation and prediction of these have been carried out. These have reference value for manufacture practice.
