The leaf of tomato grown in substrate during long season cultivation, is of great importance to its vegetative growth and yield. It is the foundation of the whole plant, and makes for improving the output. This experiment was carried out in substrate cultivation, noting the state of growth, dry matter production and distribution of the plant, the fruit load of the plant. Via automatically controlled computer LCC900, temperature and radiation of different seasons were recorded and collected. In this thesis the dynamic variation of leaves and its influcing factors were systematically analyzed. The results were shown as follows:1. With regard to leaf emergence, the average rate was 0.281eaf/day in the whole grown season; temperature of early stage was relatively low, and mean temperature was below 30°C, therefore; leaf emergence rate was 0.291 leaf/day, higher than average; During period of the high temperature, leaf emergence rate obviously decreased, statistic analysis indicated: leaf emergence rate was declined about 0.031 leaf/day when maximum temperature increased 1 °C; When maximum temperature decreased to 30°C in late stage, leaf emergence rate ascend to 0.3081eaf/day. It was obvious that temperature has great influence on leaf emergence rate. The radiation also had some effect; but was unnoticeable, perhaps it operated by temperature.2. With regard to individual leaf, the extending rule among the leaf length, leaf width and leaf area, the leaf length extended earlier than the leaf width; From the whole, the ratio of leaf length/width in different leaves were almost bigger than 1. And maximum leaf length and leaf width of different leaves showed a parabolic curve in the whole growing season. The maximum leaf length appeared earlier than leaf width. Moreover, after 9th truss, leaf length and leaf width quickly dropped.3. LAI is crucial to the development of the plant in the growth period; LAI exhibited diverse changes in different growing phases. Statistic analysis showed: in the early stage of the growth, leaf grew mainly in the limitation of resource, LAI showed an exponential curve, that is: y=0.0228e0.4786x,r=0.9716;During the flourishing period, LAI showed an exponential curve relationship with RGR, i.e. y=8646e-18566x,During the late stage, mainly in the limitation of sink, LAI showed an exponential relationship with SLW, that is: y=20.652e0. 446x,r=0.97054. LAI was not only related with many internal factors, such as dry matter accumulation, and distribution, fruit load and so on, but also with the surroundings, statistic analysis showed:1) The correlation between LAI and SLW, SLA was positively conspicuous, the relationships of them were accelerated each other; The correlation between leaf dry matter and root dry matter was positively conspicuously; Before flowering, LAI showed logarithmic relationship with fruit load, correlated conspicuously, that is: y=376.91n(x)+1161.3,r=0.9609;2) LAI during fruiting showed parabolic relationship with fruit load, correlated conspicuously, that is: y=-5e-07x2+0.0016x+1.4827,r=0.6752;3) The relationship between LAI and the integral photosynthetically active radiation was conspicuousl -y, other environmental factors with LAI correlate inconspicuously.5.The regression analysis between RGR and temperature, radiation in the whole growth period...
