The offspring mutants were obtained from the dry seeds of Jindou-24 had been irradiated with 60Co-ray.The parent and offspring mutation were analysis by Morphological, Cytological, and gray incidence analysis. The results are as follows:1. Leaf, flower, bearing term and sterility mutant were observed in population of M2, M3 generation. 2.There are polymorphism in POD activity, Pro content, EST and SOD isozyme band of the offspring mutants.3.Pollen abortion of it might occur in various stages of microsporogenesis and different kinds of abnormal chromosomal behavior at its meiosis of the pollen mother cell of the offspring mutants including the chromosome number decrease in Aiakinesis, the synaptic variation, chromosome hauling, chromosome bridge, chromosome sticking and unequal distribution in Metaphase â…¡ and Anaphase â…¡.4. Finding out a oblong leaf high-yield plant and a poirted leaf high-yield plant; a population of sterile ,semi-sterile and a population of oblong leaf plant from offspring population of mutation. 5.The relation between 9 main characters and the yield per plant in the 21 Soybean lines of mutants (frcm 1-M3 to 19-M3 and a oblong leaf, poirted leaf lines of mutants in 20-M3, 21-M3) was studied by means of the relational grade analysis of grey system theory. The results showed the yield per plant is more closely related with seeds plant, pods plant and pots stem, but less with branch and plant height. This study can offer theoretical reference to select mutants of high yield during soybean mulation breeding. At last, we can draw a conclusion that this population is a mutation population.
