In recent years, changes in the cultivation of edible fungi from small-scale peasant economy to large scale with facilities are taking place in China. However, the cultivation with facilities is still very much cultivation of experiences. As for environmental control, only simple electronic devices such as time controller or temperature controllers are used to control ventilation, cooling and heating, not to mention the utilization of computers for environmental control. The lack of environmental control has become the choke point for year-round cultivation of edible fungi.Most monitoring systems available nowadays are designed in such a way that each individual growing room as a small environment needs a separate monitoring system. An edible fungi farm is usually consisted of many individual growing rooms, the crops in different growing rooms are at different growing stages, each needs different requirements for temperature, humidity, lighting and air, which are very important parameters. The cost of monitoring systems available is too high for large-scale production.To solve this problem, a complete set of distribute network intelligent testing and controlling equipment has been created, and the software for intelligent control of temperature, humidity, concentration of CO2 and light intensity in the process of cultivation has been done initially. If this system is used, the crops high yield and quality can be achieved.The intelligent testing and controlling system is conducted by PC(Personal Computer) and SCM (Single Chip Micyoco). MCS-51 single-chip computer is used as SCM for collecting, processing, displaying, setting. The management software of the PC is written with VB6.0 program, whosefunctions are the storing of the data of the environment, displaying of figures, graphs and charts, on-line testing and control, analysis of final data, fuzzy control of environmental parameters and construction of expert knowledge database.The prototype of the system in this study has been tested in a white flammulium velutipes farm in Fuzhou and it functioned as expected.
