In this paper , the author extracted from the root of Stellera chamaijasme L. with anhydrous ethanol, and made gradient extraction from it with different solvents. We tested the extracts against Peries Rapae L. for biological activity. The results showed that the n-hexane extract had significant contact toxicity and antifeedant activity against Peries Rapae L.. Correct mortality in 72h was highest, and LC50 was 812.1mg/L. Antifeeding-activity was highest. Two insectcide-activity components A and B were obtained from the n-hexane extract by a series of methods such as TLC, normal phase LCC, reverse phase LCC, HPLC, activition analysis. A was light yellow oil, showing fluorescence in UV. LC50 A against Peries Rapae L. aging 3 was 530.3mg/L. B was light white solidity, showing dark yellow in I2 vapor no fluorescence in UV. LC50 B against Peries Rapae L. aging 3 was 483.4mg/L. The structures of A was determined by IR, UV, MS, NMR. As 1, 5—Diphenyl — 3 — Hydroxy — 1 — Pentanone, B was determined as a 4 — Hydroxy -Sesquiterpene-Propylene-Ester.This work laid a foundation for producing new non-poisoned pesticide using Stellera chamaijasme L.
