The Study On District-Dividing And Developing Measures Of Good Quality Wheat For Special Use In Hubei Province

As the fast developing of market economy and enhancing of people's life level there is a newer and higher demands on wheat production in China. All peoples in different field have realized that good quality wheat for special use should be developed to satisfy the need of market. Wheat for special use means those kinds of wheat its inner quality can satisfy the quality need of different products made from wheat. According to its use wheat for special use can be divided into three types: strong gluten wheat, middle gluten wheat, weak gluten wheat.Wheat is a kind of important food crop in Hubei Province. Also It can play an important role in providing food to market. In Hubei Province there are good natural resources, scientific and technological and industrial advantages to develop different kind of wheats for special use. Developing wheat for special use is very important to adjust agricultural structure and to adapt the needs of market economy and to increase the income of agriculture and farmers.Different wheat for special use demands different ecological condition. Another district is located in the plain byYangtse River and Han River where is proper to develop weak gluten wheat, jt includes 10 counties and cities: Xiantao, Qianjiang, Tianmen, Zhijiang, Shayang, Xiaochang, Songzi, Macheng, Lutian, Tanfeng etc. Its area is about 200,000 hectares.In this period the main problems to develop wheat production in Hubei Province are: small production scale of wheat for special use, fewer variety types of wheat for special use, lack of cultivated technology to ensure the stable quality of wheat and disjointing of wheat production, processing and marketing each other. If these problems can be settled in near future, the wheat for specials use in Hubei Province will be developed fast and effectively. The main measures to develop the wheat for special use in Hubei Province is summed as follows:1. Speeding up the rate of breeding, introducing and extending of excellent wheat cutltivars for special use. Establishing the research and development center and seed production bases of good quality wheat for special use.2. Researching the comprehensive system of cultivated technology and message service that can ensure good quality wheat and high income. Establishing the wheat specialist system that canprovide the service of technological consulting and policy-making. Constructing the system to give farmers some professional and technological guide and the message of wheat production and market.3.
