Studies On Preparation And Clinical Application Of Liposomal Amikacin

Amikacin is used extensively in veterinarian clinical. The main shortcoming of its traditional preparation is short elimination half-life, great consumption and toxicity of ear , kidney and neural muscle. Liposomal amikacine can improve above-mentioned index. The encapsulation efficiency was 65.0%,and its stability was satisfying.The injection was milky white suspension,whose pH was 5.0-5.5. Each milliliter injection included amikacin 10 milligrams.The pyrogen and irritation test was taken with white rabbit as materials respectively,the result suggested that there were no pyrogen and stimulation in the preparation. And a further study showed that intramuscular injection was safe and reliable.In order to study clinical application of liposomal amikacin, swines infected with myfcoplasmal pneumonia of swine or pasteurelosis were sellected to conducte clinical trail compared with conventional amikacin.The results of treatment showed the cure rates of liposomal amikacin were signifficantly higher than that of onventional amikacin. The cure rate and efficiency rate to myfcoplasmal pneumonia is respectively 68% and 98.8%,and the indexes to pasteurelosis is 70% and 76 %. Liposomal amikacin can reduce consumption, prolong drug effect and cut down medicine remaining as well.
